What a Month!

HTV has an opportunity to meet some of the most interesting people. Thank you to all the new friends we made at the Arby's Classic. We appreciate you taking the time to talk with us, and even worry a little bit when the old guy working the camera almost falls off the platform!

Just because we are in the grip of winter doesn't mean that things slow down. There are lots of entertainment and other programs under production...so keep it tuned to your local Heritage TV station. Remember, you can usually find the schedule at www.heritagetv.com. If it has been updated, you will see the upcoming programs. If it hasn't, check back often. It usually happens sooner or later.

Our next "Spotlight on Music" will be on February 4th, 6pm, at Java J's on State St. in Bristol. Our featured group is Peaces of Way. They have been rehearsing and working hard to perform for our show taping before a live audience. We all hope to see you there. The last show in January was postponed twice (the first time because of a pretty good snowfall). So, hopefully we can reschedule Houser & Co. for a make-up date. We tape the show the first Thursday of every month at 6pm, so keep your calendars open for that! Upcoming shows will feature ODB (Old Dudes Band), April Taylor, Susan Brown & Co., and Wise Old River.

Stay warm and stay in touch.

Arby's Classic, Snow, & Cold

HTV hopes everyone had a great holiday. Now it's back to the old grind for everyone. Heritage TV had a "hoopy" holiday as Aaron Collier and I taped every game in the Arby's Classic at Viking Hall. That's a total of 30 games that you will be able to catch only on BVU / OptiNet channel 3. Sponsored by BVU, we are able to provide unprecedented coverage of this event. The games are playing a couple or so per day. But we are going to have our first ever Marathon of the Classic on January 13, 14, and 15. 10 games per day back-to-back in the order that they were played in the tournament. Some great games and players, so don't miss it. Look on our website, www.heritagetv.com to keep up with the games being played. Our thanks to the folks at BVU, the Arby's Classic, and all the volunteers involved for making it successful. Special kudos to Christopher Hall of BVU who spent his holiday week making copies of every game for the coaches. Also look for the games to be showing up a little at a time on BVU's Video OnDemand.

Then we had a set-back for the first time on our regularly scheduled "Spotlight on Music". The fast snowfall on January 7th postponed the much anticipated taping of Houser & Co. for the program. But we were able to quickly get a make-up date for Wednesday, Jan. 13th. Same time and place, Java J's on State St., Bristol, at 6pm. It will be great to see a lot of people come out and support local and regional musicians. As an added bonus, the band takes questions from the audience during an interview segment. So be thinking of something good...

Please stay in touch with us. It is a pleasure to meet our audience as we travel around, or even when we are shopping or just fooling around and get your comments on our various programs.

Till next time, be safe and warm.
